At the conclusion of the event on Saturday, the People’s Choice award was awarded to Cablevey Conveyors for the 3rd time in a row.
“We are very pleased with the success,” said David Phelps, YMCA Executive Director. "The Osky Winter Open has become an annual highlight on the YMCA event calendar, and the tournament is a fund part of our fundraising campaign. It’s truly a great opportunity for youth, teens and adults in the community to have some fun during the long winter months, while raising funds for the YMCA,” said Kristen Bandy, committee chair. “The event could not succeed without the many businesses who sponsor holes, putting their creative energy and genius on display. The event is growing because the players and sponsors are having fun and believe in the Y mission.”
“I would like to thank all of our sponsors and the efforts of our dedicated volunteer committee for all of their help with this event. A special thanks to Kristen Bandy for her organization of this event, and to Mike Gipple for his tireless help at coordinating the holes and construction expertise. The Mahaska County YMCA is fortunate to have the support of so many people in our community,” said Phelps. All of the proceeds of this event will go to support the Mahaska County YMCA.
