Strong Kids Campaign The Strong Kids Campaign is the YMCA’s effort to reach out to the community and be embraced by their support. It is our practice to not turn anyone away due to the inability to pay. The Mahaska County YMCA works to build four strong character values in every child that we encounter; these values consist of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Without these values in everyone’s character the world would be a place of violence, lies, deceit, and continued heartache, this does sound a lot like the world we live in so you should understand how important it is that we touch these lives as soon and as much as possible. The more positive environment that we can introduce these children to, the better their chances are for a brighter tomorrow. Help make your community a better place through the YMCA. Join with donors who share beliefs that regardless of the challenges children, teens or families face, their unique talents can be strengthened. Your donation supports YMCA programs and facility development, the critical tools that give vulnerable community members a greater chance for success. The YMCA is a tax-exempt 501(c) (3) organization under IRS code Gift Levels Any Amount Can give a child or family hope during a not so fortunate time in their life when help is needed Corporate Spnsorships Can aid in the development of renovation or new establishment of our YMCA facilities. Gift of $5000 Can provide 8 families the opportunity to grow their commitment of family to each other and give them the chance to increase their lives through building a healthier lifestyle. Gift of $1000 Can give 35 children the opportunity to experience a class of gymnastics, swimming lesson, or any other program at the YMCA. Gift of $650 Can give families and you an option to experience the difference the YMCA can make in their lives by providing them with a yearly membership. Gift of $125 This will allow a child the opportunity to experience the positive effect that a week of camp can make in their lives. They can make friends, find a mentor, be able to express their selves freely, and just enjoy being outside involved in good healthy Christian activities. Gift of $50 When you donate $50, your gift can give a child the chance to attend swimming lessons or provide a child with the supplies needed to attend preschool.
