🏊♂️ Mahaska County YMCA Dolphins – 2026 Swim Season 🐬
Dive in and be part of something big! The Mahaska County YMCA Dolphins aren’t just a swim team, we’re a community of athletes, friends, and families who push each other to be our best.
In 2025, we made waves with 88 team members, 24 state qualifiers, and 7 regional competitors, all powered by 6 certified coaches who know how to inspire greatness. And in 2026? We’re aiming even higher.
🗓️ Official Season – Starts Monday, October 5th, 2026
The heart of our program — regular practices, fun meets, and chances to qualify for state and regional competition. This year, sign-up is by the months you plan to participate, at $50.00/month! Think you will go October to April? Your total cost will be $350.00. The typical season is October through February, which will cost $250.
At this time, we do not have a confirmed meet schedule, however the first meet is typically in the middle of November, and 1 – 2 home meets in December and January. You will also have the option to travel to all the away meets we are able to sign-up for!
With the Dolphins, swimmers build speed, strength, and confidence, while making friends and memories that last far beyond the pool.

2026-2027 Dolphins Swim Team Season Registration
Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards (the full length of the YMCA pool) without stopping by the second day of practice. Practice days and times are still being finalized and will be announced by mid-September. The 2026 season officially kicks off on Monday, October 5th.
You must be an active YMCA Member for at least 30 days prior to participate in the home/away meets. Registration will close on Monday, November 2nd, 2026.
Payment Options:
This year particpants will be asked to choose and pay for the months they continue to participate in practices and meets. Each month is $50. Dolphin’s Team Registration requires minimum of November to February. To participate in November meets, you must sign-up for October, and be a YMCA member by October 5th, 2026.
