Swim Lessons
At the YMCA, our Swim Lessons offer a comprehensive and structured approach to aquatic education for all ages. We provide Parent and Child lessons (Levels A and B), where a guardian joins the child in the water for 30 to 35-minute sessions, designed to foster comfort and confidence. For older children, our group swimming lessons range from Levels 1 to 6, with each level consisting of 6 to 8 sessions lasting 30 to 35 minutes each, tailored to develop skills progressively, culminating in Level 6 as the highest proficiency. Additionally, we offer flexible Private and Semi-Private lessons, where participants can choose their instructor and schedule 30-minute sessions over six appointments, allowing for personalized attention and skill advancement. Group Swimming Lessons
November Group Swim Lessons at Mahaska County YMCA
Join us for group swim lessons every Tuesday and Thursday in November, from November 4 to November 25, at the Mahaska County YMCA (414 N 3rd Street)!
*No lessons on Thanksgiving Day
December Group Swim Lessons at Mahaska County YMCA
December Group Lesson dates: Dec. 2nd, 4th, 11th, 16th, 18th
* No lessons on Dec. 9th due to High School Boys Swim Meet
