Dolphins Swim Team 2026 - 2027
2026 Dolphins Practice Schedule
The Mahaska County YMCA Dolphins 2026 season officially begins Monday, October 5th, 2026! Our first home meet will be Saturday, November 21st.
Dolphins practices will be held Monday–Thursday from 5:00 PM–7:30 PM. Swimmers will be placed into training groups based on age, experience, and skill level to ensure each athlete receives the appropriate instruction and challenge.
Practice Groups:
- Green Group: 5:00 PM–5:30 PM
- Blue Group: 5:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Black Group: 6:00 PM–7:30 PM
High school swimmers will practice alongside the Dolphins program on select practice days, sharing pool space from 5:00 PM–6:00 PM.
Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards (the full length of the YMCA pool) without stopping by the second day of practice.
Practice groups and schedules may be adjusted throughout the season based on swimmer development, attendance, and team needs.
2026-2027 Dolphins Swim Team Season Registration
Swimmers must be an active YMCA Member for at least 30 days prior to participating in home or away meets. Registration will close on Monday, November 2nd, 2026.
Payment Options:
Participants will register and pay for the months they plan to participate. The cost is $50 per month, with a minimum commitment of November through February.
